Join our Community Solar and Environmental Justice Cohort of North Minneapolis (pictured) in the beautiful healing venue: Northside Healing Space in Liberty Community Church. While this event is focused on the North Minneapolis community, all are welcome

We will discuss as a community:
  • Our energy future in the face of climate change
  • Environmental justice and how communities of color are more harmed by climate change
  • How can we create a JUST and EQUITABLE energy transition that benefits YOU and the community?
  • What is community solar and how is it a tool for putting benefits of solar energy in the hands of COMMUNITY?
  • What input and ideas do you have for bringing this message to more people?

This event is the culmination of working with a cohort of North Minneapolis community members, pictured above at the green job training center on Plymouth Ave in North Minneapolis. The cohort who is working together, with the Neighborhood Hub, MN Renewable Now, Minneapolis Climate Action, and the Hawthorne neighborhood.

This powerful cohort will lead this event and is collaborating to shape and design outreach on:

  • Informing community members on climate change, climate impacts, our energy system and how to make it more fair and equitable
  • Fundamentally shifting how we get our energy and who benefits? Besides the Xcel CEO who makes $22 million a year on our dime!
  • Creating connection and action that we take together to deal with climate change and the underlying reasons of how we got here
  • Come connect and get empowered with information and action!
